Job Summary

Xpedition are looking for a Technical Consultant to join its growing team. The main aspect of the role is to understand customer requirements in order to help with the design and development of solutions, based upon Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. Consultancy skills are key to this role, as you will run customer workshops to gather requirements, deliver training and support implementation activities.

The position of Technical Consultant is a key role in the delivery of a solution to the customer. Working as part of the Customer Engagement team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting customer workshops, in order to analyse and document their requirements
  • Providing technical expertise and development support to the project managers and other project stakeholders
  • Configuring and customising Dynamics 365 customer engagement to a high standard
  • Implementing Power Platform features including Power Apps, Power BI, PCF (Power Apps Component framework), Power Automate and the Power Apps Portal
  • Developing Azure components including Logic Apps and Function Apps
  • Using .NET development tools to develop, extend and enhance Dynamics 365 including Plug-ins, Custom Applications, APIs and Function Apps
  • Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and advising colleagues of

The candidate will have a proven track record as a technical consultant with knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform features and will have previous Dynamics CRM consultancy and development experience up to the latest version.

Other essential skills are:

  • Experience of designing and developing Power Platform components such as
  • Model driven apps, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerApps Portals
  • Experience of designing integrated solutions
  • The ability to create design documents
  • Degree: preferably in an IT related subject, or equivalent relevant experience. Microsoft Certified 4+ years’ experience
  • An in-depth knowledge of the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Dataverse and Model-driven Apps
  • Experience in developing PowerApps, both Model driven and Canvas Apps
  • Experience in automating business processes using Power Automate
  • Ability to create Custom Connectors for Power Automate and Logic Apps
  • Experience with Custom API and Rest services integrations and an understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, SSRS, KingswaySoft to further enhance client solutions
  • Ability to design, architect and create integrations between Dynamics 365 and other applications
  • Experience in Azure DevOps, Deployment using pipelines
  • The ability to work well under pressure, both as part of the team and on own initiative
  • The ability to manage their workload and time according to deadlines set. Resourceful, energetic and enthusiastic
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The desire to gain additional experience in other product areas
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and interface with business and technology partners
  • Able to spend the occasional night away from home. Able to travel to Xpedition and / or customer offices. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
  • On occasion some international travel may be required
  • Candidate will have clean United Kingdom driving licence
