Discovery

Plan to succeed

Putting the foundations in place

The Discovery stage sets out deliverables, responsibilities and costs against a high-level system design. Together, we plot the best path for your business to take to reach your desired destination. We need to have a clear understanding of what business processes need to be supported, what integrations need to be achieved, where the data is coming from as well as the mobile and reporting requirements. With this information, we then define the best possible way ahead.

Through a series of meetings and workshops with key team members we will work with you to translate your business objectives into a complete project definition with costs, scope, risks and a road map for everyone to follow. During this process, our experts will help you decide what to prioritise, what to exclude, what to outsource and what to keep in-house.

Exceeding expectations

“We know what we want, but how do we get there?”

Xpedition will listen to all your requirements, challenging you if we feel you’re not aiming high enough. We’ll then transform this into a proposed solution, based on Dynamics 365. With our platform knowledge and all our experience, we’ll make your journey even more worthwhile by offering you useful extra benefits that you may not have even considered.

Minimum inconvenience

“What level of disruption will we face during transition?”

We pride ourselves on coming up with efficient solutions that offer significant benefits to our clients. For example, often functionality can be introduced in separate smaller phases rather than as a large single phase. This allows change to be undertaken in small, manageable steps, minimising the inconvenience to your business.

Know where you stand

“Will your plan include all the relevant costs?”

Once the Discovery stage has been completed, you’ll have a clear picture of what it will take to realise your ambitions. Knowing that no stone has been left unturned and every last detail has been considered in the planning, you can confidently set about allocating the resources and expenditure needed for your project.

Opportunity to re-think

“Is there still time to amend things?”

At this stage, your commercial exposure and commitment is relatively low. If the Discovery determines that the project is too costly or internal tasks need to be completed, such as sorting out source data, then your plans can easily be amended. Having trodden the path so many times before, we’re perfectly placed to give you the very best advice.
